SMEDLEY FINE ART

Opening in February 2026, Smedley Fine Art is McEwing-Sexton-Smedley's first permanent gallery. Run by George, it is located on Market Street in the heart of historic St Andrews. Smedley Fine Art seeks to reflect the distinctive cultural, historical, and visual character of the town itself.

Yes, there are scenes of St Andrews, and depending on when you visit there may even be a golf-related picture! But the gallery offers a collection built around interesting and distinctive works, rather than simply the predictable tourist fare. Decorated more like a traditional drawing room than a sterile viewing space, the artworks are not simply tourist-trap prints of Highland cows.
